Anke Pan was born 31st March 1993 in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany) and started to play the piano at the age of 4, with 7 she performed her first piano concerto with orchestra. She was accepted to the Pre-College in Cologne soon and studied with Prof. Pierre-Laurent Aimard and later with Prof. Ilja Scheps, continuing her musical development and artistic maturing. Since then she has been awarded many grants and performed in international media.
She received first prizes at several international piano competitions, including the Steinway-Klavierspiel-Wettbewerb in Hamburg and the Rotary-Wettbewerb in Essen and the "Euro-Asia Festival" in Trossingen. Latest prizes were at the Piano Competition in Enschede, Romantic Music Competition in Lancaster and the Alion Baltic Festival Competition in Estonia (2017). In 2010 she was the youngest accepted participant and the only one from Germany to perform at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
She has performed amongst others in Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Croatia, Poland and the USA, also playing concerts with orchestra like the Symphony Orchestra of Torún and the Zagreb Soloists.
Anke is a scholarship holder of foundations like the "Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben", "Musik und Jugend" from Liechtenstein and the "Rotary-Club" from Aachen.
Since 2009 she has been rewarded with the title "Steinway Young Artist".
